Kitchen Party!

Speech Fewapy Records is a Birmingham based independent record label run by members of The Traps.

The label was founded so the band could release their own EPs without the added constraints of external pressures forced upon them by music industry types or by God himself. 2009 saw the release of three EPs, 'Luna', 'Elk' and The Honey Drip'. All were released in download only formats and were all made available for free. The three EPs were downloaded a combined total of over 1,500 times.

As an ambitious bunch of people, Speech Fewapy Records is now building on this success by announcing the addition of two artists, MALPAS and GREG BIRD & FLAMINGO FLAME, to their roster. We suggest you listen to both by clicking on the myspace links above. Both have releases set for March and April 2010, so stay tuned for updates.

Speech Fewapy Records also launched Speech Fewapy Radio in 2009. Speech Fewapy Radio is a series of podcasts recorded in Birmingham, Edinburgh, New York City and Montreal and downloaded all around the world. The last time we checked (which was yesterday), Speech Fewapy Radio had 2,000 subscribers on iTunes.

Speech Fewapy’s four founding fathers attempt to fill ‘’the unforgiving minute with sixty seconds’ worth of distance run’’(Rudyard Kipling ‘’If’’) unleashing both the sublime and ridiculous upon your ‘shell-likes’ in their show 'Kitchen Party!'

Bringing you our slice of the Speech Fewapy pie from our beloved B13 crows nest, the show will be packed full of music we’re obsessed with, delivered to you in every format we can feasibly supply it. Live sessions from the bands we love and interviews with those who make and shake the community we move in will feature heavily alongside discussion on everything and anything that we deem worthy of a listener’s ear.

Our philosophy is that the best partys happen in the Kitchen! Friends, lend us your ears and come and join ours!’’
